St. Norbert College to Host Dance Marathon Fundraiser

St. Norbert College will host its first Dance Marathon on Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m.-10 p.m. at Schuldes Sports Center on the St. Norbert College campus. Dance Marathon is a fundraising event to benefit the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

The main goal of the event is for participants to "stay on their feet for 13.1 hours"- matching in hours the distance in miles of a half-marathon- "for all the kids who can't," said Ryan Engesser, one of the co-presidents of Dance Marathon. Dance Marathon hopes to have 500 St. Norbert College student, faculty and staff volunteers attend the event. The fundraiser will be sponsoring 20 families from the Children's Hospital and each family will tell their story during the event. Children from the hospital will also attend and get to interact with the participating students and organizations.

The event will feature performers from St. Norbert College, community dance groups and a variety of activities.
