St. Norbert College adjunct professor of political science Joseph Tullbane was presented with the 2013 Outstanding Higher Education Representative Award on Oct. 11 at the Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted (WATG) annual state conference. WATG is an educational outreach program that supports the needs of academically gifted and talented students in Wisconsin.
Tullbane was honored with the award for his innovative international programming for middle school and high school students in the school districts of northeastern Wisconsin. His yearly International Education Experience allows students to participate in an authentic international summit to engage in debate on a topic of timely concern. Past topics include terrorism, international drug trade and the Middle East.

Tullbane has also provided the opportunity for students to attend the Great Decisions lectures, an annual series featuring nationally recognized speakers addressing world topics of our time.
