St. Norbert College Language Services presents a Belgian pie making workshop on Saturday, Dec. 7, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Brown County Culinary Kitchen of the N.E.W. Curative Building, 2900 Curry Ln. in Green Bay. The cost of the class is $45 per person and is open to the entire community.
In the workshop, Door County native and Belgian pie expert Gina Wautier will reveal the history behind the pastry. Belgian pie is an open-faced tart filled with custard or cottage cheese, then topped with whipping cream or a fruit center of prunes, apples or raisins. Participants will learn how to make several kinds of Belgian pies in a hands-on setting.
No experience is necessary and all levels are welcome.
Registrations and payments must be received by Nov. 29.
For information and to register, visit http://www.snc.edu/languageservices or call 920-403-4075. Class sizes are limited to ensure maximum hands-on participation.
