“Conversations from St. Norbert College” Television Show to Focus on Music

Eric High, assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College, will be the guest on the January "Conversations from St. Norbert College" television show hosted by associate dean for academic affairs and international education Kevin Quinn. They will discuss how the teaching of music has changed in higher education, and will also discuss the evolution of jazz music. High has been at St. Norbert College since 2005. Prior to his appointment at St. Norbert, he taught public school in Gilbert, Ariz., for five years. Since moving to Wisconsin, he has performed with the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, the Fox Valley Symphony and the Brass Circle Quintet. He has been featured as a soloist with the St. Norbert College Community Band, the N.E.W. Concert Band, and the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble.
High teaches low brass, brass ensembles, jazz ensemble, evolution of jazz, and music appreciation at St. Norbert.
New "Conversations" shows appear the first Friday of each month. The series airs on TWCT Time Warner Cable Television Channel 4 in Green Bay, Howard/Suamico and Seymour; Channel 4 in the Fox Cities; Channel 2 in Neenah/Menasha; and on NET cable Channel 46 in Pulaski. The show also airs on St. Norbert College Channel 5 in De Pere, Ashwaubenon and Bellevue on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
The show can also be seen on Wisconsin on Demand (WIoD), Time Warner Cable's local video-on-demand channel (411). It is available free to Time Warner Cable's digital customers in 70 communities in northeast Wisconsin.
"Conversations from St. Norbert College" also airs in Algoma, Clintonville, Columbus, Delavan, Elkhorn, Fitchburg and surrounding areas, Hortonville, Jefferson County, Lake Mills, Marshfield, Milwaukee, New London, Oconomowoc, Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, Waukesha, Waupaca, Whitewater, Wisconsin Rapids, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Temple University Television, TUTV, Philadelphia, Pa.
