St. Norbert College will host Startup Weekend from Friday, Feb. 21, through Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Bemis International Center on the St. Norbert College campus. Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement to help aspiring entrepreneurs learn the basics of founding startup companies and launching successful ventures. It is the largest such entrepreneurship community, with events in over 100 countries and 580 cities around the world.

Startup Weekend allows anyone to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams form around the top ideas and spend the next 54 hours working on design, business models and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders, with another opportunity for critical feedback.

Aside from founding a company, participants can also find a cofounder, meet new people and learn skills that cannot be gained through typical work experiences.

Registration for the event costs $75 until Feb. 7 and $99 from Feb. 8 until the start of the event. The registration fee includes meals, snacks and beverages. To register, visit http://swgreenbay.com/.
