The St. Norbert College theatre program will present two short plays, "Far Away" and "One for the Road," starting Friday, April 4, and running through Saturday, April 12, in the Webb Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus.

"Far Away" will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 4 and 12, and a 2 p.m. matinee will be presented on April 5 and 12. "One for the Road" will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 5, 10 and 11, and a matinee will be presented on April 6 at 2 p.m. The matinee performances will be followed by a discussion with the cast and crew.

"Far Away" by Caryl Churchill follows Joan, a young woman coming of age in a world that is growing more and more conflicted. This conflict develops into a global war, with all of nature taking sides and Joan not knowing what or whom to trust. "One for the Road" by Harold Pinter tells a story of a "civilized" interrogator as he interviews three members of a family who have become enemies of the state, in a powerful statement about abuse of power and the decay of human rights under a totalitarian government. Both shows are presented as one-act plays for adult audiences.
Stephen Rupsch, assistant professor of theatre studies and director of theatre, will direct the productions; scenography will be by April Beiswenger, assistant professor of theatre studies; and technical director will be Corey Pinchart. Lighting will be designed by student Clara Wendland (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.)

The crew and cast include Sarah Amann (Oak Forest, Ill.), Olivia D'Andrea (Chicago), Samuel Evers (Appleton, Wis.), Andrea Fietzer (Neenah, Wis.), Kerry Galvin (Lockport, Ill.), Tom Guttenberg (Green Bay, Wis.), Vincent Mastrodomenico (Blomingdale, Ill.), Hannah Nathan (Fort Atkinson, Wis.), Michael O'Malley (De Pere, Wis.), Cassandra Otte (Pine City, Minn.), Scarlett Pisarek (Greendale, Wis.), Yvonne Stapleton-Polack (Eagle River, Wis.), Collin Stoltz (Milwaukee, Wis.), Hannah Ward (Lake Villa, Ill.) and Elisabeth Will (Southlake, Tex.)
