Conductor Dudley Birder will lead the Dudley Birder Chorale of St. Norbert College and the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra in their concert, "Ode to Joy" on Saturday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. at the Weidner Center on the UW-Green Bay campus. The concert is the closing event of the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra's 100th year.

The concert features Beethoven's epic 9th Symphony, the crowning achievement of his career. The Chorale will grow to more than 200 voices to join with the orchestra in the symphony's fourth movement and its iconic refrain, "Ode to Joy." The program will begin with renowned mezzo-soprano Kelly O'Connor singing Brahms' "Alto Rhapsody," with the Chorale providing an all-male chorus.
