Dudley Birder Chorale of St. Norbert College to Present “America Sings”

St. Norbert College's Dudley Birder Chorale will conclude the 2013-2014 season with its annual choral pops concert, "America Sings," on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus.

The concert will feature a variety of Broadway, gospel, patriotic and choral pops music including hits from "Guys and Dolls" as well as the music of Sigmund Romberg and Lerner and Loewe. The program will also feature The Manhattan Transfer's popular song "Operator"; a tribute to Stephen Foster, "the father of American music"; four gospel favorites; and a patriotic salute arranged by Dudley Birder entitled "In Memoriam--September 11, 2001."

The Friday concert will feature a performance by the recipient of the Carol and Robert Bush Choral Music Award, which is presented annually to an outstanding high school junior or senior in northeast Wisconsin.

Tickets are $18-$23 and can be purchased online at http://tickets.snc.edu or by calling the St. Norbert College Box Office at 920-403-3950. All tickets for events held in Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts are subject to a $1 per ticket facility fee used to improve and enhance the facilities.
