St. Norbert College Music Theatre will present "Guys and Dolls" at 8 p.m. July 23; 7:30 p.m. July 24-26 and July 29-31; and August 1; and 2 p.m. on July 27.
Thirty-eight singers/dancers and actors, many who have appeared in principal roles in previous music theatre shows, have been selected through audition and are currently in rehearsal. The show will be directed by James P. Birder and choreographed by Alicia Birder, with Dudley Birder as musical director.
"Guys and Dolls," which opened in 1950, was one of the most successful shows of the decade and has been called "the perfect musical comedy." Set in mid-20th century New York City, "Guys and Dolls" tells a story of gambling men and the strong-willed women who love them.
