Language Services at St. Norbert College to Offer August Cooking Classes

DE PERE, WIS.: St. Norbert College Language Services will hold the following events in August for the general public:

Seasonal Fruit Pastries Class: Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brown County Culinary Kitchen, 2900 Curry Lane, Green Bay. Participants will learn new pastry-making techniques for every season with a menu of fresh fruit-filled desserts. Jon Lutgen, who brings years of culinary experience to the table, will lead the workshop.
The cost is $40 per person, which includes instruction and food and materials for the class. Register by July 29.

Oneida Soups & Salads: Thursday, Aug. 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Salvation Army Kroc Center, Lime Kiln Road, Green Bay. Using ingredients from the Oneida farmer's market, participants will learn simple but delicious traditional Oneida soups and salads from Chef Arlie Doxtator.
The cost is $40 per person, which includes instruction and food and materials for the class. Register by Aug. 7.

Salsa Making: Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Brown County Culinary Kitchen, 2900 Curry Lane, Green Bay. Judy Knudsen, family living educator for the UW-Extension office, will teach participants how to spice up homemade salsa with fresh veggies and fruit.
The cost is $40 per person, which includes instruction and food and materials for the class. Register by Aug. 12.
