Choice Hotels International Honors the Kress Inn

Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world's leading hotel companies, named the Kress Inn, a member of the Ascend Hotel Collection, the winner of the Ascend Hotel Collection's 2014 Hotel of the Year Award, recognizing the hotel's commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience. This honor was announced recently at the Choice Hotels' 60th annual Choice Hotels International Convention in Las Vegas.

The Ascend Hotel Collection is a network of upscale unique independent hotels that offer an authentic, local experience, designed specifically for people who appreciate a distinctive hotel with a strong local flair.

The Kress Inn opened in 2001 and since that time has been awarded Choice's prestigious Platinum Award an impressive nine times. The Platinum Award is given based on guest satisfaction, product quality, room condition and staff service. This is the first time the hotel has been recognized as Hotel of the Year.
