Contestants for the Miss Green Bay Area Scholarship Pageant 2015 and Miss Green Bay Area's Outstanding Teen Pageant 2015 are now being accepted! Application forms and informational packets are available at http://www.missgreenbayarea.com. Completed applications are due by October 30, 2014.

The Miss Green Bay Area competition is open to women ages 17 to 24, and the Teen competition is open to girls ages 13 to 17. Participants must have residency, attend school or be employed fulltime in Brown County; or a county directly adjacent to it, including: Calumet, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Oconto, Outagamie and Shawano Counties.

The Miss Green Bay Area Scholarship Pageant provides opportunities for women to make a difference in their community and promote a platform they believe in. This program helps women to develop professional skills and their futures, while providing scholarship money to further their education. The Outstanding Teen Pageant encourages positive achievement while helping to nurture and build the scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living, and community involvement of our youth.

The stages of both competitions are private interview, lifestyle and fitness (fitness attire and routine for Teen contestants), talent, eveningwear, and on-stage question. Contestants also must choose a platform/topic they will build on throughout the year to improve their community.

The Miss Green Bay Area Scholarship Pageant is a local preliminary to the Miss Wisconsin and Miss America Scholarship Pageants.

Each year, the Miss Green Bay Area Scholarship Pageant awards thousands of dollars of cash and in-kind scholarships to local women. The Miss America Scholarship Pageant is the largest scholarship program for young women and one of the nation's leading achievement programs. Since the program began, the Miss America Organization as a whole has awarded more than $200 million in cash scholarships. Each year, the Miss America Organization makes available over $46 million in cash and in-kind scholarships at the local, state, and national levels.
