De Pere: St. Norbert College Summer Band Camp registration has begun for students completing grades 5 through 10. The commuter camp, now in its 22nd year, will be held June 14-18 on the St. Norbert College campus. To ease transportation burdens for parents, the camp will follow a different schedule from past years. The 2004 camp will only be one week, with longer sessions held each day. Following an audition, students will be placed in bands according to skill level. Students will attend full band rehearsals, sectionals, and either master classes or jazz band from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. A final concert will conclude the camp Friday, June 18 at 7 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts.
