The St. Norbert College music department will present an opera workshop production entitled "Songs of the Maids" on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall on the college campus.

The production will be directed by Yi-Lan Niu, assistant professor of music, who also created the costumes. The accompanist is Patrick Marchant; lighting design is by April Beiswenger, assistant professor of theatre studies.

The opera workshop will be performed entirely by St. Norbert College music students, all of them from Wisconsin: Erika Jahnke (Green Bay), Benjamin Behnke (Kiel), Deanna Knetzger (Hustisford), Natalee Cunningham (Oostburg), Genevieve Gannon (Plymouth), Kasara Sinkula (Kewaunee), Sara Gunderson (Appleton), Emily Herman (Black Creek) and Emily McIntee (Marshfield).

General admission to the concert is $6; tickets are available at the St. Norbert College Box Office or online at http://tickets.snc.edu. Tickets for events held in Dudley Birder Hall are subject to a $1-per-ticket fee, which is used to improve and enhance the facility.
