Twelve St. Norbert College students will visit Iowa City from Sunday, Dec. 14 to Friday, Dec. 19, as part of the TRIPS alternative break service program. While there, the participants will volunteer at a children's hospital and host holiday events, spend time with the children to give their parents a break, and assist at sites that provide lodging to families whose children are in treatment at the hospital.

Participants in the Iowa City trip are listed below.

Trip Leaders: Olivia Koehn (West Bend, Wis.), Hannah Kestly (Oneida, Wis.)

Other Participants: Olivia Johnson (Green Bay, Wis.), Kelly Brofka (Menominee, Mich.), Maria Pirkola (Iron Mountain, Mich.), David Jensen (Cambridge, Wis.), Elizabeth Sprout (Lena, Wis.), Megan Waldoch (Milwaukee, Wis.), Abby Landgraf (Williams Bay, Wis.), Deanna Hennessy (Itasca, Ill.), Alexander Clemetson (Flossmoor, Ill.), Taylor Kane (Plainfield, Ill.).

TRIPS (an acronym for Turning Responsibility Into Powerful Service) is an alternative break program organized by the Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning at St. Norbert College. It is designed to give students the opportunity to put their beliefs into action through service and solidarity with various communities. TRIPS challenges students to participate in a week or more of service in areas throughout the United States and the world.
