Director of St. Norbert College Library to Appear on “Conversations from St. Norbert College” Television Show

Kristin Vogel, the director of the Miriam B. and James J. Mulva Library at St. Norbert College, will be the guest on the January "Conversations from St. Norbert College" television show. She will discuss how technology has changed the way people use libraries today. The show is hosted by Kevin Quinn, founding dean of the Donald J. Schneider School of Business and Economics. As the director of the Miriam B. and James J. Mulva Library, Vogel oversees its budget allocation, personnel and services. She also serves as a member of the dean's council, technology advisory committee, revenue enhancement committee and the "Big Ideas" group an innovation task force at St. Norbert College. Vogel has traveled on a Fulbright grant to Bahrain to work with the National Library and the University of Bahrain; other travel opportunities have taken her to Uganda and Ghana to work with academic librarians there. In addition, she has collaborated with visitors from a variety of locations, including Brazil, Colombia, Latvia, Mexico, Nigeria, Romania and Vietnam.
New "Conversations" shows appear the first Friday of each month. The series airs on TWCT Time Warner Cable Television Channel 4 in Green Bay, Howard/Suamico and Seymour; Channel 4 in the Fox Cities; Channel 2 in Neenah/Menasha; and on NET cable Channel 46 in Pulaski. The show also airs on St. Norbert College Channel 5 in De Pere, Ashwaubenon and Bellevue on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
The show can also be seen on Wisconsin on Demand (WIoD), Time Warner Cable's local video-on-demand channel (411). It is available free to Time Warner Cable's digital customers in 70 communities in northeast Wisconsin.
"Conversations from St. Norbert College" also airs in Algoma, Clintonville, Columbus, Delavan, Elkhorn, Fitchburg and surrounding areas, Hortonville, Jefferson County, Lake Mills, Marshfield, Milwaukee, New London, Oconomowoc, Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, Waukesha, Waupaca, Whitewater, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Temple University Television, TUTV, Philadelphia, Pa.
