St. Norbert College Knight Theatre to Present “Into the Woods”

Knight Theatre, St. Norbert College's student-run theatre group, will present a production of Stephen Sondheim's acclaimed musical "Into the Woods." Performances will be at the Webb Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus. Showtimes are Thursday, Jan. 29, 7:30-10 p.m.; Friday, Jan. 30, 7:30-10 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 31, 2-4:30 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 31, 7:30-10 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 1, 2-4:30pm.

"Into the Woods" offers a different take on a variety of well-known fairy tales. It follows the fortunes of four people out to realize their wishes: a baker and his wife who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the king's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. An encounter with a witch complicates matters, and a series of disastrous turns leads the characters to reconsider what they have wished for.

The cast for the show includes the following St. Norbert College students: Erika Jahnke (Green Bay), Everette Berchmans (Green Bay), Ana Bakken (Green Bay), Ben Olejniczek (Green Bay), Sara Gunderson (Appleton), Kelsey Upchurch (Appleton), Genevieve Gannon (Plymouth), Davis Cox (St. Charles, Ill.), Collin Hess (Suamico), Benny Behnke (Kiel), Steven Sizer (West Bend), Brian Falk (Belgium), Natalee Cunningham (Oostburg), Samantha Kolb (Neenah) and Logan Thomas (Baileys Harbor).

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the St. Norbert College box office, at the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the college campus, or online at General admission tickets are $14 for adults and $5 for St. Norbert College students (one per valid student ID). Tickets for events held in Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts are subject to a $1 per ticket fee used to improve the facilities. Online ticket orders are subject to a $2 convenience fee.
