Two members of the St. Norbert College community were recently awarded for their accomplishments in the field of human resources. St. Norbert College alumna Callie Zipple '10 was elected to the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) prestigious Young Professionals Advisory Council. In addition, Matthew Stollak, associate professor of business administration at St. Norbert College, was included on a list of the top 50 human resources and recruiting experts by the business website Glassdoor for Employers.

Zipple was one of 15 young professionals elected out of 200 applicants to serve on the Society for Human Resource Management's Young Professionals Advisory Council for a one-year term, beginning on Jan. 1, 2015. The council advocates for SHRM's young professional members (those under age 30) and provides guidance to SHRM for attracting and retaining nonmember young professionals.
Zipple graduated from St. Norbert College with a bachelor's in business administration with a human resources and leadership focus. She interned in the HR department on campus and has gone on to several jobs involving human resources and staffing, most recently accepting a position with Zebra Technologies as a senior HR coordinator in August 2014. From 2012 to 2013, Zipple volunteered with the Wisconsin branch of SHRM as its college relations director. Her primary duty was to act as a liaison between the national SHRM and student chapters throughout the state.
Stollak, who has been a member of the St. Norbert College faculty since 2002, has served as adviser to the St. Norbert College SHRM student chapter, taking his students to three National HR Games championships and winning the National Championship in 2003, as well as being awarded adviser of the year in 2006. He has also served on the Wisconsin SHRM State Conference planning committee in numerous positions, including co-chair in 2009. He is currently a contributor to CareerBuilder's Talent Advisor Portal.
