High to Present Faculty Trombone Recital at St. Norbert College

Eric High, assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College, will present a faculty trombone recital on Thursday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. The recital will take place at Dudley Birder Hall on the college campus, located at 400 Grant Street in De Pere, and is free and open to the public.

High will perform the following works: "Sonata for Trombone and Piano" by Stjepan Sulek, "Elegy for Bass Trombone and Piano" by Alfred Bartles, "Sonata for Bass Trombone and Piano" by Alec Wilder, "Concerto for Bass Trombone" by Elizabeth Raum, "Arioso" by Warren Benson and "Concerto No. 1" by Alexej Lebedev.

High has served as assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College since 2005, teaching low brass, brass ensembles, jazz ensemble, evolution of jazz and music appreciation. He has had numerous audio and literature reviews published in the International Trombone Association Journal.
