Lundquist to Present Senior Piano Recital

Tanner Lundquist (Sister Bay, Wis.), a senior chemistry and piano performance double major at St. Norbert College, will present a piano recital on Sunday, April 12. The recital will take place at 2 p.m. at Dudley Birder Hall on the college campus, located at 400 Grant Street in De Pere. It is free and open to the public.

In the first half of his recital, Lundquist will perform "Malagueña" by Ernesto Lecuona, two Nocturnes by Debussy (Arr. Ravel), "Elegie in E-flat minor" by Rachmaninoff and "Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor" by Camille Saint-Saens. The second half of the recital will consist of the entirety of George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," which Lundquist has arranged for a 12-piece ensemble. Lundquist's ensemble will feature a mixture of St. Norbert College students and music faculty: Jaime Notzen (clarinet), Al Martin (oboe), Emma Phillips and Nate Ruechel (saxophones), Boris Semnic (bassoon), Andrew Parks (French horn), Jennah Smet and Nick Carncross (trumpets), Michael Knight and Brenna Rathsack (trombones), Jack Eckelaert (percussion) and Elaine Moss (piano), conducted by Kent Paulsen.
