President of Feminists For Life to Speak at St. Norbert College for Pro-Life Week

Feminists For Life president Serrin Foster will give a talk, titled "The Feminist Case Against Abortion," at St. Norbert College on Thursday, April 30. The talk will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Hendrickson Dining Room of the Bemis International Center on the college campus.

After Foster's talk, there will be a formal dessert reception with a cash bar.

This event is part of the second annual Pro-Life Week, a week of talks and events organized and sponsored by the student group Knights for Life. The group strives to promote the dignity of life in its many stages. The topics of this year's Pro-Life Week include the death penalty, poverty, homelessness, women's rights and adoption. A list of the week's events is below; all except Foster's talk are free, and all are open to the public.

Monday, April 27: A candlelight prayer vigil, titled "Seamless Garment of Life," led by the Rev. Andrew Ciferni, O.Praem. The vigil will take place at Old St. Joseph Church on the college campus at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 28: A talk, "Art as a Catalyst for Deepening Questions on the Death Penalty," by the Rev. Jim Neilson, O.Praem, which will be in room 130 of the Bush Art Center on the college campus at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, April 29: A talk, "The Option of Adoption: My Story as an Adopted Person," by Ellen Mommaerts, Norbertine volunteer community coordinator, which will take place at the Cassandra Voss Center on the college campus at 6 p.m.

Thursday, April 30: Serrin Foster's address, "The Feminist Case Against Abortion," in the Hendrickson Dining Room of the Bemis International Center on the college campus, at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, May 1: A showing of the documentary "The Human Experience" at the Ray Van Den Heuvel Family Campus Center at 7 p.m.

Tickets for Foster's address are available through the ticket office, or online at http://www.tickets.snc.edu. Tickets are $8, which includes the dessert reception to follow the talk.
