Dudley Birder Chorale Presents “America Sings” Concert

The 150-voice Dudley Birder Chorale will present its season finale concert, titled "America Sings," on Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9. The concert will feature a variety of gospel, patriotic and Broadway selections, and will showcase multiple soloists and small groups within the chorale. It will take place at 7:30 on both nights, in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus.

The concert will feature gospel music including "Walk Him Up," arranged by Dudley Birder, "Gospel Mass" by Robert Ray and "Precious Lord," featuring Kent Paulsen, adjunct instructor of music and director of Knights on Broadway at St. Norbert College, on piano. The chorale will also perform patriotic songs such as "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "God Bless America," and Broadway songs including "The Phantom of the Opera," "Let the Sun Shine in" and "New York, New York."

Founded in 1974, the Dudley Birder Chorale is composed of members from more than 30 northeast Wisconsin communities. The chorale performs three to four concerts annually, including regular concerts with the Green Bay Symphony.

Tickets for the concert are $23 for rows A-U and $18 for rows V-Z.
