St. Norbert College Language Services will present a workshop on Saturday, June 6, titled "Beyond the Bubbler: Wisconsin Dialects." The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on the college campus (specific location to be determined).

The workshop will be led by North Carolina State University linguistics graduate student Michael Fox, who will discuss what goes into Wisconsin accents and dialects, and how specific regionalisms -- such as the use of "bubbler" for "drinking fountain" -- have arisen.

The cost of the workshop is $30 per person; the registration deadline is Friday, May 22, 2015. Those who wish to register can do so by visiting http://www.snc.edu/languageservices/cultureworkshops/dialect.html.

For additional information on this offering or others, contact St. Norbert College Language Services at 920-403-4075 or language.services@snc.edu.
