St. Norbert College Music Theatre will present a production of the award-winning hit musical "A Chorus Line" as the first show of its summer 2015 season. "A Chorus Line" will run for six performances in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the college campus: 8 p.m. on June 17 and 7:30 p.m. on June 18, 20 and 23-25. Forty-three singers/dancers and actors, many of whom have appeared in previous St. Norbert College Music Theatre productions, have been cast in the production and are currently in rehearsal. The show is directed and choreographed by Alicia Birder; Kent Paulsen will serve as the musical director.
The plot of "A Chorus Line" takes the audience through the final grueling auditions for a new Broadway musical. It is a celebration of those unsung heroes of the American musical theatre -- the chorus-line dancers. The musical has garnered wide popular acclaim and has had four Broadway revivals, as well as winning nine Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Tickets for the production can be purchased online at http://tickets.snc.edu. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 920-403-3950, or 800-SNC-BOXX [800-762-2699] for those outside of the Green Bay area, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $33 for rows A-M and $29 for rows N-Z. A $2 per order convenience fee applies to online order and return mail of tickets; a $2 per ticket convenience fee applies to exchange or re-printing of tickets.
