Medical College of Wisconsin-Green Bay Campus Dean to Appear on “Conversations from St. Norbert College”

Dr. Matthew Hunsaker, dean of the Medical College of Wisconsin's (MCW's) Green Bay campus, will be the guest on the July "Conversations From St. Norbert College" television show. Hunsaker will discuss medical education in northeast Wisconsin and MCW's first regional campus, which is housed in the new Gehl-Mulva Science Center at St. Norbert College. The show is hosted by Kevin Quinn, founding dean of the Donald J. Schneider School of Business & Economics at St. Norbert. Hunsaker serves as the founding dean of MCW-Green Bay. In that role, he is building MCW's medical training program partnered with academic and community partners in northeast Wisconsin. Hunsaker graduated from Milligan College (Tennessee), received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, and completed a residency in family medicine at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Ind. Hunsaker was a rural family--medicine physician in southern Illinois. During that time, he also served as the medical director of the Migrant Health Clinic and medical director for the Illinois Department of Corrections Youth Incarceration Boot Camp program, focusing on youth engaged in criminal penalties learning life skills to return to society. Prior to joining MCW, he served leadership positions at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford directing the rural medical education program and other administrative responsibilities. Dr. Hunsaker also served as the primary consultant to the Thai government on building a community-based medical school in the southern Thailand conflict region, which is now in its eighth year. New "Conversations" shows appear the first Friday of each month. The series airs on TWCT Time Warner Cable Television Channel 4 in Green Bay, Howard/Suamico and Seymour; Channel 4 in the Fox Cities; Channel 2 in Neenah/Menasha; and on NET cable Channel 46 in Pulaski. The show also airs on St. Norbert College Channel 5 in De Pere, Ashwaubenon and Bellevue on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
The show can also be seen on Wisconsin on Demand (WIoD), Time Warner Cable's local video-on-demand channel (411). It is available free to Time Warner Cable's digital customers in 70 communities in northeast Wisconsin.
