Cast for Next Stage Summer Music Theatre Production at St. Norbert College Announced

Students from 15 high schools in northeast Wisconsin will take part in the St. Norbert College music department's first-ever Next Stage summer music theatre production, George Gershwin's "Crazy for You." The musical, set in the American West, will be performed on the Walter Theatre stage of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus, August 13-16. Participation in the program is at no cost.

"Crazy for You" is a boy-meets-girl tale set in a western town in the 1930s. Filled with dancing, memorable songs and comic dialogue, the high-energy show includes musical highlights such as "I Got Rhythm," "Embraceable You" and "Someone to Watch Over Me." The production will be directed by former Notre Dame Academy choral director Teresa Schmidt. St. Norbert College music faculty members Michael Rosewall (pit orchestra and vocals) and Sarah Parks (acting adviser) will also help bring the show to life. Andrea Hearden, a Notre Dame Academy faculty member, will choreograph the show.
