Jim Neuliep, professor of communication and media studies, is to receive the Wisconsin Academic Advising Association's (WACADA) Faculty Advisor Excellence Award. The award (which comes with a cash award and certificate) will be presented at this year's WACADA Conference at UW-Whitewater on Sept. 17-18, 2015.

Jeff Ritter, then director of academic advising, nominated Neuliep for the award, which is presented to those who have demonstrated advising qualities and practices that distinguish them as an outstanding academic adviser. Along with receiving the Faculty Advisor Excellence Award, Neuliep is also the recipient of the Leonard Ledvina Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Donald B. King Distinguished Scholar Award.

Kristin Vogel, director of the Miriam B. and James J. Mulva Library, was elected to the Catholic Research Resources Alliance (CRRA) board of directors. Vogel, along with two other candidates, was elected by majority vote to a three-year term on the board.

CRRA is a nonprofit membership alliance of institutions that is dedicated to providing global access of Catholic research material in the Americas. Vogel is also a member of the dean's council, technology advisory committee, revenue advancement committee and the big ideas group on the St. Norbert College campus.
