Language Services at St. Norbert College to Offer October Cooking Classes/Workshop

St. Norbert College Language Services will hold the following events in October for the general public:
Norwegian Heritage workshop: Monday, Oct. 5, 6-8 p.m. on the St. Norbert campus. For those planning to travel to Norway or simply interested in learning learn more about the country's culture and heritage. The cost is $30 per person, $25 for members of the St. Norbert College community.
Desserts Around the World and Spun Sugar cooking class: Tuesday, Oct. 6, 5-7:30 p.m. on the St. Norbert campus. St. Norbert chefs will demonstrate how to make desserts including a tiramisu, sweet crepes, crème brulee and how to spin sugar. The cost is $40 per person.
Pizzas cooking class: Monday, Oct. 12, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the UW-Extension office in Green Bay. Instructors will share tips for making authentic and creative pizzas from scratch. The cost is $40 per person.
French Macarons cooking class: Tuesday, Oct. 20, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the UW-Extension office in Green Bay. Chef Jon Lutgen shows how to prepare these meringue-based confections.
Transforming Soup Stocks Into a Culinary Creation cooking class: Monday, Oct. 26, 5-7:30 p.m. on the St. Norbert campus. The ABCs of stock making, from raw ingredients to clarification. The cost is $40 per person.
Oneida Heritage workshop: Tuesday, Oct. 27, 6-8 p.m. on the St. Norbert campus. Cultural educator Randy Cornelius will highlight the Oneida culture and experience in northeast Wisconsin. The cost is $30 per person, $25 for members of the St. Norbert College community.
