The St. Norbert College theatre program will present "Song and Shadow" starting Friday, Sept. 25 and running through Sunday, September 27 in the Walter Theatre of Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the college campus.

Friday and Saturday performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 27, at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

Song and Shadow, a theatrical poem, is an unconventional blending of puppetry, song and poetry about women with new interpretations of traditional stories. These tales include conventional ideals of fairy tale characters as well as unorthodox musings on myth and lore. This original piece is a collaboration between St. Norbert theatre artist, April Beiswenger and St. Norbert music artist, Yi-Lan Niu.

Beiswenger designs, directs and will act as puppeteer, while Niu will sing and direct her student vocalists. The student cast and crew includes Benjamin Behnke (Kiel, Wis.), Sarah Conard (Kewaunee, Wis.), Olivia D'Andrea (Chicago, Ill.), Hannah Knutson (Greenville, Tenn.), Hannah Nathan (Fort Atkinson, Wis.), Megan Schirger (Grafton, Wis.), Carli Vanlaarhoven (Freedom, Wis.).
