Dudley Birder Chorale Presents 42nd All Saints Day Concert

The Dudley Birder Chorale will present its annual All Saints Day Concert in the Walter Theatre at the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus, on Friday, Oct.. 30, at 7:30 p.m. Originated 42 years ago, the concert is performed each year in memory of deceased members of the greater Green Bay community.

The concert will feature the German Requiem by Johannes Brahms and two works by W.A. Mozart: Ave Verum Corpus and the Alleluia from Exultate Jubilate.

Soloists for the German Requiem will be soprano Courtney Sherman, professor of music at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and St. Norbert College instructor, baritone Kent Paulsen. Sherman will also be featured in a solo performance of the Mozart Allelluia.

As is traditional for the annual concert, the program will conclude with the reading of names in a candlelight ceremony to celebrate living and departed saints, and a performance of "For All The Saints."

The 150-voice chorale will be conducted by Dudley Birder, and accompanied by a 39-piece orchestra composed of members of the Green Bay Symphony.
