Connor Romenesko '15 and Tara Cunningham '15 have recently embarked in full-time service with two Jesuit volunteer organizations, Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) and JVC Northwest, respectively. As volunteers, Romenesko and Cunningham serve people who live on the margins of society, and have committed to living simply and working for social change in a reflective and spiritually supportive community with other Jesuit volunteers.

Romenesko and Cunningham are some of the 267 JVC volunteers serving in 37 U.S. cities and six countries across the world. Jesuit volunteers serve hundreds of thousands of people each year, addressing issues such as hunger and homelessness, poverty, domestic violence, end-of-life care, and mental health.

Romenesko serves in Atlanta, Ga., at the Southern Center for Human Rights. Cunningham serves in Yakima, Wash., at the Homeless Youth Workgroup of Yakima County.
