St. Norbert College Announces 2016 Door County Lecture Series

St. Norbert College faculty will take part in a series of lectures at the Door County Auditorium in Fish Creek. The Saturday lectures, which begin Jan. 9 and run through Feb. 27, will focus on a variety of social, political and cultural issues. All lectures start at 9 a.m. and are free and open to the public, though freewill donations are encouraged.
The lecture schedule is as follows:
Saturday, Jan. 9: Michael Olson, assistant professor of physics, on "The Unification of Electromagnetic and Weak Forces"
Saturday, Jan. 23: Tim Flood, professor of geology, on "Geologic Time: The Geology of Wisconsin and Related Thoughts"
Saturday, Jan. 30: Nelson Ham, professor of geology and environmental science, on "The Geological and Environmental History of Wisconsin Trout Streams"
Saturday, Feb. 20: Carrie Kissman, assistant professor of biology and environmental science, on "The effects of disturbance in aquatic ecosystems"
Saturday, Feb. 27: Victoria Tashjian, professor of history, on "African American Settlement in Nineteenth Century Northeast Wisconsin"
