St. Norbert College Students to Visit Nicaragua for TRIPS Service Program

Ten St. Norbert College students will visit Nicaragua from Sunday, Jan 3 to Saturday, Jan. 16, as part of the TRIPS alternative break service program. While there, the participants will volunteer at medical clinics, prep patients for surgery and learn in the classroom with medical students and other projects.

Participants in the Nicaragua trip are listed below.

Other Participants: Nicole Beine (Kohler, Wis.), Lenka Craigova (Juneau, AK), Connor Gullstrand (Green Bay, Wis.), Olivia Johnson (Green Bay, Wis.), Hannah Johnshoy (Appleton, Wis.), Annmarie Riva (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.), Angela Schmidt (Dousman, Wis.) and Johnny Shepherd (Elgin, Ill.)

TRIPS (an acronym for Turning Responsibility Into Powerful Service) is an alternative break program organized by the Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning at St. Norbert College. It is designed to give students the opportunity to put their beliefs into action through service and solidarity with various communities. TRIPS challenges students to participate in a week or more of service in areas throughout the United States and the world.
