The St. Norbert College music department will present a faculty recital of contemporary American songs, featuring soprano Bethany Thier, pastoral associate for music and worship, and mezzo-soprano Linda Feldmann, adjunct instructor of music. The recital will take place on Friday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall on the St. Norbert College campus. It is free and open to the public.

The recital will begin with a duet, "Summer" by Ricky Ian Gordon, followed by songs of Ned Rorem, Samuel Barber, Andre Previn and Leonard Bernstein. The second half will include a rarely-performed cycle of duets, "Facing Forward/Looking Back" by Jake Heggie, and will end with a piece by Ben Moore. Thier and Feldmann will be accompanied by fellow faculty members Elaine Moss, on piano, and Steve Westergan, on cello.
