The 150-voice Dudley Birder Chorale will present "The Seven Last Words of Christ" in the St. Norbert Abbey church at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of Lent, March 13. The chorale presents this program every other year as an ecumenical concert in observance of the Lenten season.

The chorale's performance will be conducted by Dudley Birder and accompanied by Jeffrey Verkuilen at the abbey Casavant organ. Between the seven movements of the piece, members of the local clergy will offer brief words of reflection and meditation.
Composed by Théodore Dubois in 1867, "The Seven Last Words of Christ" is one of the world's most popular Lenten music works, with hundreds of performances presented each year throughout the world.

General Admission to the concert is $14. Tickets can be ordered online at https://tickets.snc.edu/ until 11:59 p.m. on March 12, or by contacting the St. Norbert College Box Office by phone at 920-403-3950, Mondays-Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets for groups of 20 people or more are $10 each for those ordering through the Box Office only. A $2 per order convenience fee applies to online orders and to return mail of tickets; a $2 per ticket convenience fee applies to exchanging or re-printing of tickets.

Tickets will also be available for sale by cash or check at the door at St. Norbert Abbey, one hour prior to each concert. Due to limited seating, however, attendance for each concert is restricted to 275 persons, and booking in advance is recommended.
