The St. Norbert College Community Band will present its spring 2016 concert on Monday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus. As the theme for the concert is "Inspired by Art," the community band will play a variety of selections based on works of visual art, including "Passion in Paint" by Henri Rene and "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modeste Moussorgsky.
The St. Norbert Community Band is composed of alumni, faculty and friends of St. Norbert College. It was formed to provide an opportunity for outstanding musicians from northeast Wisconsin to experience the finest available band literature. Membership in the band is by invitation of the conductor, assistant professor of music Michael Knight. The St. Norbert Community Band presents two major concerts each year.
General admission to the concert is $6; tickets are available at the St. Norbert College Box Office or online at http://tickets.snc.edu. Tickets for events held in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts are subject to a $1-per-ticket facility fee, which is used to improve and enhance the continued use of the facility. A $2-per-order convenience fee applies to online ordering and return mailing of tickets, and a $2-per-ticket fee to exchange or re-printing of tickets.
