St. Norbert College Community Outreach & Language Services Presents May Workshops

St. Norbert College Community Outreach & Language Services has announced its May schedule of culture and heritage workshops and cooking classes. The workshops, all of which are open to the general public, are listed below.
Upscale Game-Time Party Cooking Class

Tuesday, May 3, 5-7:30 p.m., on the St. Norbert College campus (specific location TBD). Chefs Brian Kerwin and Kathy Dunn will show participants how to be the hit of their next sports gathering, whether tailgating or at home. Kerwin and Dunn will introduce new flavor variations on old favorites, recipes that will have everyone coming back for more. To wind up the evening, all participants will feast on the creative dishes they helped to prepare. The cost of this workshop is $40. The registration deadline is April 25.

Polish Heritage Workshop

Saturday, May 7, 10 a.m.-noon at Xavier High School in Appleton. Did you know that Wisconsin has the highest percentage of residents of Polish ancestry of any state? Led by Polish native Malgosia Daughtery, this class is designed to deepen the community's understanding of Polish culture and experience in northeast Wisconsin. It is perfect for those who plan to travel to Poland, or those who wish to learn more about their Polish heritage. The cost of this workshop is $30 for the general public, and $20 for members of the college community. The registration deadline is April 30.
A Virtual Trip to China

Tuesday, May 17, 6-8 p.m., on the St. Norbert College campus. Instructor Ping Wang will guide participants on a virtual trip through the bright lights and countryside of mainland China. The cost of this workshop is $30 for the general public, and $20 for members of the college community. The registration deadline is May 10.
