In celebration of National Historic Preservation month, St. Norbert College is offering a one-hour walking tour of six historic buildings on the college campus. The tour will especially highlight the two campus buildings that are featured in the National Register of Historic Places: Main Hall and the Pennings Activity Center (formerly Nicolet High School).

The tours will take place in four identical sessions on Saturday, May 7, starting at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m., beginning and ending in front of Old St. Joseph Church on the college campus. Free parking is available in the lot across from the church. Tours are free and open to the public, and no advance registration is required. Participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes.

Erick Konop (Green Bay), a junior history major at St. Norbert College, will serve as the tour guide. "Erick has put an incredible about of time and effort into the research for this tour," said Scott Crevier, who serves as a De Pere Alderperson and member of the De Pere Historical Preservation Committee in addition to his work with St. Norbert College information technology services. "The tour will reveal some little known historical facts about the buildings and showcase the detailed architecture on campus."

For more information on the walking tour, contact Scott Crevier at scott.crevier@snc.edu.
