Mara Brecht will deliver a lecture for the Pilgrim Forum at St. Norbert College. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 a.m. in the Hendrickson Dining Room of the Bemis International Conference Center. Registration is required at http://www.snc.edu/pilgrimforum.

Brecht, an assistant professor of theology and religious studies at St. Norbert College, will lecture on "Crucified Under Whom? Re-Evaluating the Execution of Christ and Redemptive Suffering." She will explore the meaning of "…suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried…" from the Apostles' Creed. Brecht earned a B.A. from Oberlin College, an M.A. in theology from Harvard Divinity School and a Ph.D. in theology from Fordham University.

The Pilgrim Forum is a series dedicated to sharing information and spurring discussion around the basic tenets of the Catholic faith and tradition, specifically the Apostles' Creed. Each semester, speakers examine a portion of the creed, breaking it open in discussion with attendees to understand more deeply what they believe.
