St. Norbert College staff members Karlyn Crowley and Anna Czarnik-Neimeyer ("ZAHR-nick NEE-meyer") were honored with the first annual Partner of the Year Award from the Humana Green Bay Inclusion and Diversity Council on Oct. 24.

Crowley is the director of the Cassandra Voss Center (CVC) and professor of English at St. Norbert College. Humana honored her with this inaugural award for "sharing [her] wisdom and wit, boundless support and compassionate soul" in making a difference in the community.

Czarnik-Neimeyer is the associate director of the CVC. Humana honored her with this inaugural award in "gratitude for [her] generous heart, brilliant mind and inspiring spirit."

The Cassandra Voss Center was opened in 2013 to honor the life of Cassandra J. Voss, who died in a car accident in 2007 at the age of 21 during her senior year at St. Norbert College. The CVC provides a collaborative learning environment for the study of women and gender using an integrated educational approach connecting theory, research, experiential learning and co-curricular development.
