St. Norbert College Music Department to Present Opera Workshop

The St. Norbert College music department will present an opera workshop production entitled "Her Story -- Women in Catholicism, Sister Angelia" on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall on the college campus. The event is open to the public. Admission is $6 for the general public, and admission is free for St. Norbert College students. Tickets are available at http://www.snc.edu/tickets.

The production will be directed by Yi-Lan Niu, assistant professor of music, and accompanied by Elaine Moss, continuing part-time instructor of music. Costume and scenic design are by April Beiswenger, assistant professor of theatre.

The opera workshop will be performed by St. Norbert College music students and members of the Green Bay community. Students include: Elizabeth Dannecker (Milwaukee, Wis.), Kirstin Duprey (Manitowoc, Wis.), Hannah Knutson (Greeneville, Tenn.), Kiera Matthews (West Bend, Wis.), Megan O'Neil (Naperville, Ill.), Emily Rosenfeldt (Oconto, Wis.), Maria Sausen (Green Bay, Wis.), Megan Schirger (Grafton, Wis.), Carly VanLaarhoven (Kaukauna, Wis.) and Lauren Wargin (Two Rivers, Wis.). Community members include: Angie Danowski and Linda Feldmann.
