On Thursday, Feb. 16, at 8 a.m., St. Norbert College will hold a "State of the Economy" event in the Fort Howard Theater of the F. K. Bemis International Center on the college campus. The event will consist of a 45-minute presentation followed by a question-and-
answer session, and the event is free and open to the public.

Presented by the Center for Business & Economic Analysis at the college's Donald J. Schneider School of Business & Economics, the event is designed both for area professionals looking for more economic data ahead of executing their business planning, and for individuals who are generally interested in the state of the country's economy.

Marc Schaffer, assistant professor of economics at the college, will be joined by students of the Schneider School in presenting an in-depth look at factors affecting the economy. Key topics will include: gross domestic product; unemployment and inflation; and major economic changes with short-term effects.

The Center for Business & Economic Analysis was created to foster partnerships between the college's faculty and the local business and nonprofit communities.
