The St. Norbert College Community Band will present its spring 2017 concert on Monday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus. As the theme for the concert is "Celebrations," the community band will play music that celebrates moments in life that bring great joy, places of grandeur and the American spirit. Guest conducting is founding member and principal clarinetist of the St. Norbert Community Band, Richard Tengowski. A 1987 graduate of St. Norbert College, Tengowski is the director of bands for the school district of Kohler.

The St. Norbert Community Band is composed of alumni, faculty, students and friends of St. Norbert College. It was formed to provide an opportunity for outstanding musicians from northeast Wisconsin to experience the finest available band literature. Membership in the band is by invitation of the conductor, assistant professor of music Michael Knight. The St. Norbert Community Band presents two major concerts each year.
General admission to the concert is $6; tickets are available at the St. Norbert College Box Office or online at http://tickets.snc.edu. Tickets for events held in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts are subject to a $1-per-ticket facility fee, which is used to improve and enhance the continued use of the facility.
