St. Norbert College Professor to Give Recital of Chinese Music

The St. Norbert College music department will present a faculty vocal recital of Chinese music feature Yi-Lan Niu, associate professor of music. The recital will take place on Saturday, April 8, at 2 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall on the college campus. The recital is free and open to the public.

Niu will perform pieces written by Mahler and Puccini and will be accompanied by Elysses Kuan on the piano and Christopher Cramer on the guitar. She has served on the faculties of both Ripon College and the Madison Academy of Music before joining the St. Norbert College faculty in 2007. Niu is recognized both nationally and internationally in Taiwan and the United States for her performances.
