St. Norbert College Professor Named Associate Editor for International Journal of Social Economics

St. Norbert College professor Marc von der Ruhr has been named associate editor for the International Journal of Social Economics (IJSE). The role is for a minimum of three years and can be extended. Responsibilities include: managing peer review of manuscripts, making final decisions on publication in the journal and developing the journal as a whole.

The IJSE is an international peer-reviewed research journal which publishes papers within the discipline of social economics, focusing on the impact that economic activity has on individuals in community and its wider social consequences.

Von der Ruhr, who was born in Paris, is a professor of economics at St. Norbert College, having received his pre-doctoral degrees from Marquette University and his Ph.D. from Indiana University. He joined the college faculty in 1999 and his research and teaching interests inform each other and focus on the interdisciplinary and applied nature of economics, with specific regard to international religious issues.
