St. Norbert College will be participating in "The Pitch," an entrepreneurship event at Fox Cities Stadium, 2400 North Casaloma Drive in Appleton, on Wednesday, May 3 at 12:30 p.m. The contest pits St. Norbert against three other northeast Wisconsin universities for prize money and startup assistance: Lawrence University, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The competition brings together the best and brightest college students in the area for this first-ever competition for over $40,000 in awards.

Two winning teams from each of the four schools' individual preliminary pitch contest will present their ideas to a panel of judges in front of an audience of area students, community members, business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors at the Fox Cities Stadium. St. Norbert College held its first entrepreneurship event, "SNC Shark Tank," on Dec. 6, 2016, in addition to its "BIG Event" for innovation on Feb. 11, 2017.

The event is organized by Fox Connection, a collaboration of academic institutions in northeast Wisconsin to enhance entrepreneurial education and opportunity for students in the area. It was initiated by local business leaders and representatives from its four founding universities, named above.
