The St. Norbert College music department will host its 29th annual Middle Level Honors Band Concert on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 4 p.m. in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. The concert will feature guest conductor John New, a 1976 graduate of the college, and approximately 160 children ranging from seventh to ninth grade. The concert is free and open to the public.

The students, who are from Wisconsin and Michigan, will participate in a day of rehearsals, culminating in the final concert that afternoon. The clinic is provided by the music department, including lunch, where the students have the opportunity to explore great music, make new friends and experience a small part of college life.

Guest conductor New retired from teaching in 2015 after teaching band at all levels for 31 years in the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District in Massachusetts.

For more information, contact Philip Klickman, director of bands at St. Norbert College, at 920-403-3114.
