St. Norbert College to Offer Community Engagement Classes in January

St. Norbert College announces its community outreach offerings for January. The workshops and classes take place at varying locations with different registration fees, noted below. Registration for all offerings is available at http://www.snc.edu/outreach.

Cooking With Tequila Class

This cooking class will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., Green Bay. Registration is $40 per person and is required by Jan. 3. Instruction, food and materials are included in the registration fee. This cooking class will instruct attendees on preparing several dishes, all of which are prepared with some type of tequila.

Winter language Classes

Winter adult non-credit language classes will begin on Monday, Jan. 15, and run until Thursday, March 8. The registration fee is $175 per person, which includes textbooks and classroom materials, and registration is required by Jan. 7. These evening classes are listed below:

American Sign Language 1: Wednesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Chinese 1: Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

French 2: Thursdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

German 1: Wednesdays, 6 to 8 pm.

Italian 1: Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Italian 2: Thursdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Polish 3: Wednesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Portuguese 1 (Brazilian): Wednesdays, 6-8 pm.

Spanish 1: Wednesdays, 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Spanish 2: Mondays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Spanish 3: Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Advanced Spanish: Mondays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Social Media Basics Class

This class will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on the St. Norbert College campus. Registration is $15 per person and is required by Jan. 12. This class will instruct attendees in various social media platforms and how to safely use them for many purposes, and will also include a period for answering questions about the various social media platforms.

Food Justice Class

This class will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the St. Norbert College campus. Registration is $15 per person and is required by Jan. 12. This class will be a discussion-based workshop on turning communities into food-secure landscapes.

Understanding Assisted Living Options Workshop

This workshop will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the St. Norbert College campus. Registration is $15 and is required by Jan. 16. This workshop will have presentation topics that include breaking the stereotypes regarding assisted living; senior living options; downsizing; and more.
