Carol Bruess to Present on Building Communio Through Micro-Communication

Carol Bruess, a 1990 graduate of St. Norbert College, will present a lecture on "Turning Toward Each Other: Building Communio Through Our Micro-Communication" on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Fort Howard Theater of the F. K. Bemis International Center, 299 Third St., De Pere. The lecture is free and open to the public and is hosted by the college's Center for Norbertine Studies.

Bruess is professor emerita of communication and journalism, and the former director of family studies, at the University of St. Thomas, Minn. She received her B.A. from St. Norbert College, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from Ohio University. For more than 25 years, she has researched family, interpersonal and relationship communication with a focus on the influence of digital technologies in our lives and relationships. She is the author or editor of five books, has published her work in national and international journals and professional books, and has presented her work at dozens of national, regional and international conferences.
