St. Norbert College Music Department to Present Annual Winter Band Concert

The St. Norbert College music department will be presenting its annual winter band concert on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts, 315 Third St., De Pere. The concert, which will feature the jazz ensemble, is open to the public. Wheelchair accessible seating is available. Tickets are $6 and may be purchased at http://www.snc.edu/tickets.

The jazz ensemble is a for-credit music performance group directed by Eric High, associate professor of music at St. Norbert College. The goal of the ensemble is to study and perform jazz ensemble literature from a variety of styles and eras, with all participants working on the development of improvisational skills, effective musical style and teamwork in both the fall and spring semesters of the academic year.
